The South Dakota Department of Transportation is holding meetings around the state this week to highlight future projects under the State Transportation Improvement Plan. (STIP)
At the meeting last (Wednesday) night in Mitchell, D.O.T. Director of Planning Mike Behm highlighted the new Platte – Winner Bridge project….

Behm says they plan to keep the existing bridge open during construction of the new one….

Behm says they are still working out all the details…

STIP meetings have been held in Pierre and Aberdeen, with the last one scheduled for Rapid City.
