The Platte Institute is pushing to reform regulations on jobs in Nebraska that require a government license.

CEO Jim Vokal says they are working on legislation to take on industries that are trying to protect the status quo.

Vokal says many license requirements are too burdensome.

A Nebraskan is moving out-of-state to pursue her career, because she says the state licensing requirement is too burdensome.

Connie Young practices reflexology, but the state is requiring her to get a massage therapist license, which requires hundreds of hours of training.

Young has decided to move from Omaha to Indiana, which does not require a license for reflexology.
