The new fiscal year for the State of South Dakota just began on July first, but Governor Dennis Daugaard says there a number of groups already looking ahead to 2018……

Daugaard says it will be difficult to find the money for any new or existing program…..

The South Dakota Board of Regents has proposed a new, needs based scholarship program called, “Dakota’s Promise.” Daugaard says that is a valid proposal…..

The Regents will ask for three point five million dollars to fund the beginnings of the scholarship program.
