Planning and Development District Three will mark its 50th anniversary in a ceremony in Mitchell Wednesday.
Executive Director Greg Henderson has been with the district for over forty years…..

The District, based in Yankton, is a voluntary association covering fifteen counties in south central and south east South Dakota.
Henderson says they work in the background with county, municipal and tribal governments….

Henderson says they have a variety of grant and loan programs….

Henderson has also announced his retirement effective in October.
