Interveners including Tribes and Landowners are gearing up for Tuesday’s South Dakota Public Utilities Commission meeting. The Interveners are opposing the recertification of the Keystone XL pipeline. Indigenous Environmental Network’s Dallas Goldtooth says they’re against the pipeline mainly due to environmental concerns which he says have increased since the original permit was issued that has now expired.
Goldtooth says the Interveners have more than just environmental concerns about the Keystone Pipeline project that they want to share with the P-U-C
Besides Tuesday’s P-U-C meeting, the Tribes and Interveners are also getting ready for the May 5 evidentiary hearing regarding the pipeline.
