The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission is setting the stage for four days of hearings next month on the pipeline permit for Keystone XL. Trans Canada is asking that their route for the proposed pipeline across western South Dakota be re-certified.

The hearing on Tuesday lasted more than twelve hours.

The entire project is still waiting on routing approval in Nebraska, and a Presidential permit on the international border crossing.
