Pinto Back At Rochester

The Minnesota Twins will announce a roster move prior to Friday night’s game in Detroit to replace catcher Josmil Pinto on the major league roster.

Pinto was sent back to Rochester after Wednesday’s win in Toronto. With newcomer Kendrys Morales assuming the designated hitter’s role, Pinto figured to see less time as the backup catcher.

The addition figures to be a backup to catcher Kurt Suzuki. Manager Ron Gardenhire says Pinto needs to be able to play full time and get more at bats in Rochester.
