A group of local investors in Pierce, Nebraska are trying to re open the local elevator. Nebraska Public Service Commission Grain Division Director John Fecht says the grain license was surrendered to the Commission a couple of weeks ago by Elevator President Brian Bargstadt due to financial problems.

Fecht says the Elevator has been closed since earlier this month when the grain licenses were surrendered to the commission. He says Barstagdt is working with local investors to try and get the licenses back and re open.

Fecht says if the Commission has to move ahead with the claims process then affidavits will be mailed out to everyone and plans then made to get the grain sold and moved.
