A trade team of Millers from the Philippines visiting the United States will be in North Dakota on Wednesday. North Dakota Wheat Commission Marketing Director Jim Peterson says so far their crop is looking good and they’re anxious to give the group a look at the spring wheat.
Peterson says the Philippine group will visit one of their country elevator shuttle loading facilities and meet with NDSU Wheat Breeders and Quality Specialists. He says they also hope to address one problem which has been a slip in the state’s gluten quality.
The Philippine team will be in the United States until August 16.
