Phase II of the Minnesota Security Hospital expansion and renovation is underway in St. Peter. The 70-million-dollar project includes a major remodeling of 100,000 square feet of existing space and new construction of another 87,000 square feet.  MSH Executive Director Carol Olson says four split-level bedroom wings are now down

The project does not add any new beds to the facility. Work is expected to be complete by fall of 2020.  The first phase of construction, a $56.3 million project, was completed in January 2017.
