The Yankton County Commission Friday approved a Conditional Use Permit for the construction of a planned ethanol plant at Napa Junction northwest of Yankton.
Dakota Plains General Manager Matt Winsand says they have been planning this for a while..

Winsand says they plan on a dual output type of plant…

The plant could cost up to two hundred million dollars, and employ forty to fifty people.
The plant would need a big supply of natural gas. Winsand says they are in discussions to build their own line, which would serve more than the plant….

The plant will now need state and federal permits. Winsand says they hope to start construction this summer.
