Pelini Returns To Youngstown

Former Nebraska coach Bo Pelini has been hired to be the next coach at Youngstown State, an FCS school in his hometown.

The school announced the move on Tuesday.

The 47-year-old Pelini is a Youngstown, Ohio, native and graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School in the Northeast Ohio city.

He was fired last month after eight seasons at Nebraska. Pelini was 67-27 with the Cornhuskers, but never won a conference championship.

Youngstown State is a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference along with South Dakota and South Dakota State.
