Doug Pederson has officially become head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles after serving as Andy Reid’s offensive coordinator at Kansas City the last three seasons.
Pederson accepted the offer to become the Eagles’ coach last week, but the team had to wait for the Chiefs to be eliminated from the playoffs before making it official.
He is a former Eagles quarterback and served as an assistant under Reid in Philadelphia.
He started nine games at quarterback for the Eagles in 1999 and replaces the fired Chip Kelly. Pederson was one of six men to interview for the opening.
