The farm bill isn’t even completed, but the head of the Farm Service Agency is predicting there will be payments made to farmers. FSA Administrator Val Dolcini says with farmers able to look back at 2014 prices as they signed up, all indications are those prices will trigger payments.
He says they’re still taking the last of the elections between ARC and PLC and should know soon the results of the sign up.
Approximately 1.7 million producers nationwide made elections and reallocated base acres.
