The Summit League honored South Dakota State guard Deondre Parks with its player of the week on Monday after the senior helped lead the Jackrabbits to wins at Minnesota and at home against UC Santa Barbara.

A Flint, Mich., native and the 2015 Summit League Newcomer of the Year, Parks averaged 22 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over the two games, which included 21 points in the 84-70 win at Minnesota on Tuesday and a season- and game-high 23 points in the win over the Gauchos at Frost Arena on Sunday. He also knocked down all eight free throw attempts to run his streak to 34 consecutive free throws made.

Parks and the Jackrabbits begin a three game road trip on Wednesday at Texas Tech at 7 p.m.
