Most surveyed Nebraska businesses report a positive outlook for the next six months in the latest survey by the UNL Bureau of Business Research. Director Eric Thompson says although some areas saw pessimistic results in their survey, overall they were generally optimistic.

Thompson reports that they did see some changes that bear watching.

Thompson says that more than 80 percent of the responding businesses expect sales to hold steady or grow through late 2014. Just seven percent expect to increase employment over the next six months compared to ten percent last month. Only four percent expect to reduce employment.
