A Yankton man was killed in a single vehicle crash in Cedar County Nebraska, about four miles southeast of Yankton on 898 Road.
In a news release, the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office says 26 year old Keannan Simpson lost control of the east bound Ford Explorer and rolled multiple times in the north ditch. Simpson was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital where he later died from his injuries. A passenger, 25-year-old Mikayla Waggoner of Yankton was also thrown from the vehicle. She is in a Sioux Falls hospital in critical condition. Neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. The accident was reported yesterday (Monday) about 4:15 PM.
