One Killed in Cedar County Accident

A three-car crash on Highway 81 in Cedar County has killed one person and injured three others.
The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office says they got the report about 6PM yesterday Tuesday of the accident near mile marker 208.
A southbound GMC Sonoma driven by 82 year old Marjorie Novak of Hartington collided head-on with a northbound Chevy Equinox driven by an unnamed male from Yankton. A northbound Nissan Rogue, driven by Brenda Saltzman of Sioux Falls then hit the Equinox.
Novak died at the scene. The male was taken to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, then life flighted to Sioux Falls.
Saltzman and her two passengers were taken to Avera Sacred Heart for non-life-threatening injuries. Novak was not wearing a seat belt, but all other parties were. The accident remains under investigation.
