A survey of Nebraska employers finds one in five plan to hire new employees in the next three months, while most will keep their staffing levels the same and none are planning to cut jobs. Kathy Joblinske, spokeswoman for Manpower, says the agency’s quarterly survey rarely has a goose egg for predicted staff reductions.

Joblinske says while 20-percent of employers say they plan to make new hires in the months ahead, that figure was 30-percent in the previous quarter.

For the upcoming quarter, she says job prospects in Nebraska appear best in industries including: construction, transportation and utilities, wholesale and retail trade, information, and leisure and hospitality services.
