One person died and two others were seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday morning west of Presho.
Names of the three involved are not being released by state officials pending notification of family members. They were the only people involved.
A 2008 Kia Sorento was westbound on Interstate 90 when the vehicle left the roadway, entered into the ditch and rolled.
All three occupants, who were not wearing seatbelts, were thrown from the vehicle. A 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The two other male occupants, both juveniles, sustained life-threatening injuries. They were taken by ambulance to the Pierre hospital and then flown to Sioux Falls.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
