One Dead in Edmunds County Road Accident

One person died Monday afternoon in a tractor/sprayer crash near Ipswich.

The name of the person is not yet being released pending notification of family members.

A 1987 Custom C70 tractor/sprayer was westbound on 132nd Street, which is a gravel road. The driver attempted to miss a deer in the roadway, but hit the deer and lost control. The tractor/sprayer went into the north ditch and rolled.

The 49-year-old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. All information is only preliminary at this time.
