One Dead in Douglas Country Crash

One person died Friday night in a one-vehicle crash that occurred south of Delmont.

The name of the person involved has not yet been released pending notification of family. He was the only person involved.

A 2001 Ford Explorer was westbound on U.S. Highway 18 when the male driver, 28, lost control. The vehicle eventually rolled several times. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the vehicle. He later died of his injuries while being treated at the Armour hospital.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
