One Challenger, Two Incumbents Elected to the Yankton City Commission

Yankton voters elected one newcomer and two incumbents to the city commission in the municipal election Tuesday.

Challenger Mike Villaneuva (vill-a-new-wave-uh) led the way with sixteen hundred thirty nine votes, follow by incumbents Nathan Johnson with thirteen hundred seventy four votes and Bridget Benson with twelve hundred sixty four votes.

There was a total of seven candidates running for the three seats. Voter turnout was just over twenty two percent.
