Omaha Tribal members voted in three referendums earlier this month that would give the Tribal Council authority to legalize marijuana for medicinal and recreational purposes on their reservation in northeast Nebraska.
The referendums also authorize growing plants for industrial hemp on tribal land in Western Iowa. All three were approved by tribal members.
