Omaha Takes Extra Measures to Protect Fans During CWS

Omaha is taking extra measures to protect fans during the College World Series. This after eight people died earlier this month in London when a vehicle drove into a crowd of people. Captain Adam Kyle with the Omaha Police Department says T.D. Ameritrade Park will look a bit different this year as it is surrounded by jersey curbs.

Kyle says they got the idea for jersey curbs after the security team for Berkshire Hathaway asked about extra measures for their annual shareholders meeting in Omaha.
Kyle says the barriers won’t cause traffic problems on the streets.

Hot Shops Art Center in Omaha is also hard at work this week by giving the barriers a coat of colorful paint to give them a more visual appeal.
