Nebraska landowners opposing the Keystone XL Oil pipeline project are continuing their fight against the project. Omaha Attorney Dave Domina represents many of those landowners and is awaiting a ruling from the Nebraska Supreme Court about whether or not they’ll rehear their appeal of the pipeline which was recently granted a route in the state.
He says more landowners are now involved in the pipeline dispute and getting the whole matter settled will take more time.
Domina says any landowner having problems or questions about Keystone Xl need to stay engaged in the fight.
He says if the Keystone Xl project is allowed to go forward, it will negatively impact the environment and agriculture in both Nebraska and South Dakota for years to come.
T.C. Energy, formerly Trans Canada is in the process of seeking eminent domain on several pieces of property now that the Supreme Court gave them the green light to go ahead with their route in Nebraska.
