The Archdiocese of Omaha fully intends to cooperate with a request from Nebraska Attorney General Doug Peterson to investigate their records. Deacon Timothy McNeil says the request was expected.

McNeil says they have worked hard to counter abuse.

The files under review are part of a look into how the Archdiocese handled past reports of sexual abuse claims from January of 1978 to present. The archdiocese says they created a child protection office in 2003 for handling reports of sexual abuse and work closely with law enforcement.
