Five Olympic athletes are endorsing beef in the diet and the South Dakota Beef Industry Council’s Build Your Base program. In addition the U.S. Track and Field Trials will showcase beef throughout 2021 through the Build Your Base program. Build Your Base is a comprehensive sports nutrition program that utilizes beef as its premier protein. South Dakota Beef Industry Council Executive Director Suzy Geppert says endorsement are coming from five noted athletes.

She says having the athletes back beef is a key to getting their message out to a number of consumers.

Geppert says this is a prime example of how the beef checkoff is helping get out education efforts to benefit producers and consumers.

Build Your Base and the five athletes will be part of the U.S. Track and Field Trials taking place June 18 through the 27 in Eugene, Oregon where 8500 athletes will be participating.
