A new multi-state research project will look at the sustainable use of the Ogallala Aquifer for food production. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is one member of the four-year, ten-million dollar partnership. Rudnick says bringing together information from across the region will help them create better forecast models. Those should help producers implement best practices and aid policymakers in forming regulations.
