There is now more information about that off duty police officer who shot and killed an attacker at the Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud on Saturday night. Mayor Dave Kleis says he is a part-time officer from the Avon police department, and the former Albany Police Chief, Jason Falconer.

St. Cloud police chief Blair Anderson says there was only about a five minute span from the time the first 911 call came in to when Officer Falconer shot and killed the suspect in the Macy’s store.
During a news conference Sunday afternoon, Anderson says they’ve searched the suspect’s apartments.

The FBI’s Richard Thorton says they’re investigating it as a ‘potential’ act of terrorism. They continue to look at the suspect’s social media, electronic devices, and his friends. The man has been identified as 22 year old Dahir Adan of St Cloud. A total of nine people were stabbed by the man on Saturday night, including seven men and two women. They’re all expected to recover.
