Organization for Competitive Market members are expressing heightened concern at the increase in market concentration in agriculture in the United States. Executive Director Angela Huffman says the latest development is Walmart entering the beef business.

She says they’re monitoring investigations being done into various cases of market concentration from the U.S. Justice Department.

Huffman says OCM is also working in the legislative arena to find some solutions for the ag concentration problem.

Huffman says one of the main issues with Walmart being in the beef business is them having their own captive supply.
