A group of around 400 cattle producers at a rally in Omaha on Wednesday are calling for President Donald Trump to fire Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue. Organization For Competitive Markets Executive Director Joe Maxwell says his group agrees with them and also wants Perdue to go.

He says the Ag Secretary is backing Packers at the expense of independent cattle producers.

Maxwell says both the President and the USDA need to address the market concentration problem or many cattle producers will go out of business.

Maxwelll says market transparency is badly needed along with better prices.
