Nursing home residents on Medicaid would get a slight bump in their personal allowance under a bill advancing in the Nebraska legislature.
Senator Colby Coash of Lincoln supports his move to raise the monthly allowance from 50-dollars to 60-dollars by telling colleagues it’s time to provide an increase. . .

Senator Bill Kintner of Papillion says the Unicameral cannot afford to keep giving in to bills that pull on their heart strings. . .

Despite such opposition, the bill raising the monthly stipend from 50-dollars a month to 60-dollars advances. The original bill called for the allowance to increase to 75-dollars.
It will cost around a million dollars over the next two years.
