Southwest Minnesota State rallied from a double-digit second half deficit and then used a big 3-pointer late in overtime to earn a thrilling 84-78 overtime victory over Wayne State in the semifinals of the NSIC/Sanford Health Men’s Basketball Tournament held at the Sanford Pentagon.

SMSU (18-13) will now advance to Tuesday’s night championship game versus regular season champion Northern State (25-6) with tip-off slated for 7:30. NSU advanced to the title game with a come-from-behind, final-second 77-76 victory over Winona State.
