Top track and field performers in the Northern Sun Conference for 2017 have been announced.

NSIC Men’s Field Athlete of the Year
Teddy Frid
Jumps/Hurdles/Decathlon, So., South St. Paul, Minn. / South St. Paul HS)
University of Sioux Falls
– NSIC Champion in decathlon and 110-meter hurdles
– NSIC Championship men’s high-point scorer with 29.5 points
– Finished first in decathlon and 110-meter hurdles, was second in 400-meter hurdles and tied for seventh in the high jump

NSIC Men’s Track Athlete of the Year
Cody Christ
Distance, Sr., Dazey, N.D. / Barnes County North HS
Minnesota State University Moorhead
– Won the NSIC Outdoor Championship in the 5000m with time of 14:57.45
– Finished second at NSIC Championships in the 10000m to pick up second All-NSIC honor

NSIC Men’s Newcomer of the Year
Zach Lundberg
Distance, Fr., Omaha, Neb. / Omaha North HS)
University of Sioux Falls
– Scored points in in three events at NSIC Championships
– Placed fourth in 1,500-meter run, seventh in 5,000-meter run, and eighth in 800-meter run at NSIC Championships
