For the second time this season, senior wide receiver Jason Greenway has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.
Greenway returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown in last Saturday’s win over Upper Iowa. Greenway earned NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week honors on Sept. 8 following his school record 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the season-opener at Bemidji State on Sept. 5.
Greenway, a native of Mitchell, S.D., is the first Viking to return more than one kickoff for a touchdown in a single season since Chris SanAgustin returned two during the 1988 season. He nearly broke two other returns later in the game, with returns of 30 and 27 yards. Greenway finished the game with 171 yards on four kick returns. He leads the NSIC and ranks third in NCAA Division II averaging 33.9 yards per kick return.
