NSIC Baseball Tourney Opens

The 2017 NSIC Baseball Tournament began Wednesday at Faber and Putz Fields in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

The top four seeds in Minnesota State, Augustana, St. Cloud State and Wayne State all won first round games.

The tournament resumes Thursday at 12 p.m. with eighth seeded Minnesota Crookston taking on fifth seeded Minot State in an elimination game. At 12:30 its seventh seeded Concordia-St. Paul versus sixth seeded Minnesota Duluth in the other elimination game. At 3:30 top seeded MSU takes on fourth seeded WSC and then at 4 p.m. its second seeded Augie taking on third seeded SCSU. Two evening elimination games will be played 45 minutes after the afternoon games have ended.
