The Natural Resources Conservation Service is now accepting applications for its ACEP or Agricultural Conservation Easements Program. South Dakota NRCS Assistant State Conservationist Jeff Vanderwilt says landowners have until January 15 of 2016 to apply for the program.
He says they have over $ 8 million dollars in two pots of funding for ACEP with this round available.
Vanderwilt says they’re looking for wetlands that have been manipulated.
The application deadline is January 15 of 2016 and interested landowners should stop by their County NRCS office to apply.
