The next deadline for the Conservation Stewardship Program applications is March 26 of this year. South Dakota NRCS CSP Coordinator Joyce Trevithick says those interested in applying for the CSP should contact their local NRCS office.
She says CSP has been a very popular program in South Dakota.
Trevithick says higher payments are now available for certain conservation activities including cover crops and resource conserving crop rotations.
The CSP is for working lands including cropland, pastureland, rangeland, non-industrial forestland and agricultural land under the jurisdiction of a Tribe.
