NPPD Seeking Public Input on Decarbonization Plan

The Nebraska Public Power District will be holding public forums over the next couple of weeks to explain and get input into their plans to reduce carbon emissions in the future.

NPPD President and C.E.O. Tom Kent says they have been looking at different fuel and power plans…

The plan would move NPPD power production from coal and gas to more renewable sources.

Kent says they want to hear from their customers and the public…

Kent says they are working with other utilities and national associations on moving away from carbon..

The first meeting is Wednesday in Norfolk, then Thursday in Seward. Other meetings will be held next week in North Platte, Scottsbluff, and Kearney.
