National Pork Producer Council leaders have been reviewing the text of the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement released this week. NPPC’s Dave Warner says they support the deal and are asking for quick Congressional approval.
Warner says previous barriers to market access have been eliminated with the TPP agreement.
He says once TPP goes into effect then likely other countries could be added to the pact.
Warner says the United States now exports more pork to its 20 Free Trade Agreement partners than to the rest of the world combined.
