Pork Industry officials are looking back on this year as a successful one for trade and especially with bilateral deals. National Pork Producer Council’s Vice President and Counsel for Global Government Affairs Nick Giordano says the major victory was the bilateral pact with Japan.

He says NPPC is looking forward to working with the incoming Biden administration to further trade opportunities with Pacific Rim countries.

Giordano says there is also a chance to increase U.S. pork exports to the Far East as the TPP replacement or CTTP is looking to expand.

Giordano says NPPC will be weighing in with the new President on the importance of further cultivating market opportunities in the Far East.
