There were two topics that were commonly discussed at the Iowa Pork Congress, the first was African Swine Fever, and the second was California’s Proposition 12.  Mike Formica, the Vice President of Government Affairs with the National Pork Producers Council was at the Iowa Pork Congress to give pork producers a status update with Prop 12 and the U-S Supreme Court.  Formica talks about what would happen should the pork producers lose the case.  The National Pork Producers Council government relations director says if pork producers should win the Supreme Court case, it would likely go back to a district court.  He says pork producers are wanting to show how Proposition 12 has and will hurt many industries.
