Mexico elected a new President over the weekend. Securing a landslide win was Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
Dave Warner with the National Pork Producers Council says that may be a good sign for moving forward the remake of the North American Free Trade Agreement.

He says NPPC wants to see trade to flow freely between the U.S., Canada and Mexico with zero tariffs in place.

Warner is hopeful NAFTA negotiators will be able to iron out a deal that helps solve the current trade war of tariffs taking place.

Reports out Monday indicated that NAFTA may not get completed until after the U.S. elections this fall.
