The National Pork Producers Council ha launched a new campaign called ‘’It’s Pork O Clock Somewhere”. NPPC’s Jim Monroe says the intention is to highlight the importance of convincing Congress to bring up and ratify the USMCA trade agreement.

He says by launching It’s Pork O Clock Somewhere, NPPC is hoping to convince consumers to contact their lawmakers to convince them to get USMCA up for a vote and approved as soon as possible.

Monroe says both Canada and Mexico are important destinations for U.S. pork with more than 40 percent of U.S. pork last year sent to those countries.

Monroe says one of the most important provisions in the USMCA agreement is it ensures U.S. pork gets duty free access into both Mexico and Canada.
