United States pork after a more than 20 year hiatus is back in Argentina. National Pork Producers Council’s Director of International Affairs Maria Zieba says having that market reopened is great news for America’s pork producers.
She says the key to getting that market open again to U.S. pork rests mainly with new leadership in Argentina that’s more pro-trade.
Zieba says NPPC is pleased the Argentinians followed science based standards in moving toward reopening their market.
Zieba says it also helped that U.S. President Donald Trump and Argentina’s President have known each other for a long time and have developed a great relationship.
