NPPC Congratulates Connecticut Legislature On Stall Vote

Late last week, Connecticut’s Legislature defeated a measure that would have banned the use of gestation stalls. National Pork Producer Council President Dr. Howard Hill, an Iowa Veterinarian says groups like HSUS have been trying to get a number of states on board with their philosophy so they can convince federal lawmakers to pass similar legislation.
Hill says producers use different housing methods and are always looking out for the welfare of their animals.
Hill says most people are beginning to understand how unreasonable and superficial animal rights groups are and that they have a specific agenda to eliminate animal agriculture in the United States.
Hill says the legislative power of animal rights groups like HSUS is waning as state after state is supporting local farmers.
