The National Pork Producers Council and National Pork Board are holding their Pork Forum today virtually. Past South Dakota Pork Producers Council President Craig Andersen is an NPPC Board Director and is running for re-election. He says they’ll talk about several issues during Pork Forum including the importance of trade and working with the Biden Administration and their new appointees.

He says NPPC will be putting forth a resolution to help producers utilize the new CME contract.

Andersen says another major issue they’ll talk about is the need to continue being vigilant in battling against any foreign animal diseases and keeping them out of the U.S.

Andersen is one of six candidates running for a board directorship on the National Pork Producers Council.
