The Northern Sun Conference has named its basketball Players of the Week with Northern State represented both on the men’s and women’s side.
NSIC North Division Player of the Week
#0 Ian Smith (G, 5-10, 165, R-Jr., Champlin Park, Minn. / Champlin Park HS)
Northern State
– Led the Wolves in their two wins over the weekend with 35 points, averaging 17.5 per game
– Shot 59.1 percent from the floor, 60.0 percent from the 3-point line, and 85.7 percent from the foul line
– Averaged a team leading 8.0 rebounds per game
– Tallied a career high 26 points in 86-60 win at Minot State
NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#3 Ryan Bruggeman (G, 6-0, 177, Jr., Pelican Rapids, Minn. / Pelican Rapids HS)
SMSU
– Averaged 24 points, 7.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds in a pair of wins
– Shot 54 percent (15-of-28) from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range and 14 of 15 from the free throw line

#40 Jill Conrad (F, 5-11, Sr., Lino Lakes, Minn./Centennial HS)
Northern State
– Led the team averaging 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds, with 28 points and 13 rebounds, in their two wins against Minot State and U-Mary
– Shot 57.1 percent from the floor and 1.000 percent from the 3-point line
NSIC South Division Player of the Week
#24 Hannah McGlone (F, 6-0, Sr., Streamwood, Ill. / Streamwood HS)
Winona State
– Averaged 22 points, 15 rebounds and 2.5 assists over two games
– Scored a career-high 25 points while matching her season high of 17 rebounds at USF
