The Northern State men and the St. Cloud State women have captured the Northern Sun Conference post season tournament basketball titles.

Northern State (26-6, 18-4 NSIC) scored an 80-59 win over Minnesota State (17-15, 12-11 NSIC).

The Wolves made Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference history as well becoming just the second team in league history to win three straight tournament championships. The tournament title gives the Wolves an automatic berth to the NCAA Central Region Tournament.

St. Cloud State defeated Minnesota Duluth to win the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament Championship for the second time in program history and the first time since 2009. Thanks to outstanding defense, the Huskies hoisted the conference tournament trophy, defeating the Bulldogs 71-62 to earn the NSIC’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
